JAC Motors, a Chinese car and utility vehicle manufacturer, is offering its only pick-up model – the T8 – in Nepal. Shangrilla Motors, the official distributor of JAC vehicles for Nepal, offers a single variant of the T8 priced at Rs 59.99 lakh.

The JAC T8 is recognized for its versatility, affordability and durability. The T8 comes with a high ground clearance and four-wheel drive to handle any uneven terrain and poor road conditions in Nepal, and its open cargo area also allows for easy transportation of goods and materials. Based on the company's eighth-generation international platform, the T8 comes with a strong chassis and advanced safety, comfort and practical features.

Design

The T8 gets a bold and stylish design. The aggressive front fascia is inspired by ancient Roman shields and features a large hexagonal air intake lamp and xenon headlights with DRLs. And at the back, the pickup has "Double C" LED taillights. In addition, the car was offered in five different colors: silver, white, gray, black, blue and red.

Inside, the double-cab pick-up has an all-black interior theme and leather-trimmed seats, among which the driver's seat is equipped with a 6-way driver's seat adjustment function. The dashboard is equipped with a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, an instrument console and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with bluetooth connection,

Engine

The T8 is powered by the company's 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission that generates a peak power of 137 bhp at 3600 rpm and a peak torque of 320 Nm between 1600 and 2600 rpm. The pickup has a fuel tank capacity of 76 liters and provides a range of 13.4 km/l.

Function

The T8 is equipped with a lot of practical and safety features.
