A Taiwanese multinational information technology corporation, MSI (short for Micro-Star International Co., Ltd) has been engaged in the design, development and provision of computer hardware, related products and services, including notebook computers and desktop computers, for about 34 years. . During January 2021, MSI Stealth 15M was launched to the world and now two models of this brand namely Stealth 15M A11SEK and Stealth 15M A11SDK are available in Nepal.
The MSI Stealth 15M is a sleek and portable gaming laptop with a clean aluminum and plastic design. The laptop is advertised as a gaming machine that doesn't look like it and rather gets a simple and subtle design. The character of the laptop is best suited to the user who would like to keep his gaming hobby private and smuggle the laptop out into the public for work and study. The two models mentioned below are identical and differ only in the graphics card used.
Design Stealth 15M has a modern aesthetic and subtle gaming design. While users can customize their own keyboard with MSI RGB lighting via Dragon Center's Mystic Light to match their personalized gaming style, other aspects such as the plastic cover have been kept to a minimum. The logo is placed centrally on the plastic cover and opening the notebook is neat with just the hook to open the lid.
Similarly, there is a beautiful honeycomb vent just above the keyboard, with a cooling fan underneath. Extreme gaming does turn on the fan and is a bit noisy, but the company also has an aluminum chassis for heat regulation. The notebook's portability has been made possible by its minimum thickness of 0.63 inches – which the company claims is the thinnest notebook in the 15'' gaming notebook segment – and its weight of 1.69 kg. The dimensions of the notebook are 358 x 248 x 15.95 mm. The color variant for the Stealth 15M is Pure White and Carbon Grey.
The Stealth 15M has a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display with refresh rate options, namely 144Hz and 240Hz. While in the context of Nepal, users will be able to get a 144Hz refresh rate laptop. In terms of resolution, the device has a FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080. The bezels have been designed in an exceptionally thin manner which further contributes to the slim size, modern and premium look. The keyboard has an RGB backlit configuration and only has a single color backlight.
Both models feature the same Comet Lake Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor, which comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512GB NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD. Users are also provided with DIMM slots for RAM expansion that supports up to 64GB of RAM. However, the only difference between the two models is the graphics card. Stealth 15M A11SDK comes with NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti graphics with Max-Q Design and 6GB GDDR6, Stealth 15M A11SEK is equipped with RTX 2060 with Max-Q Design and 6GB GDDR6. Both models have the Windows 10 Home operating system.
The Stealth 15M webcam is an HD camera type with 30fps@720p. It comes with 802.11 ax Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1 and one combo jack for microphone and headphones. The notebook will be powered by a three-cell 52Wh battery and should be enough to handle a handful of hours of moderate use. To recharge the battery, the notebook is compatible with a 90W adapter. And finally, the number of ports available in the laptop. On the left side there is a USB 3.1 type A port, a microSD card slot and a headphone jack. On the right side are two USB Type-C ports (one with Thunderbolt 4 support, one with DisplayPort output only), an HDMI connection and another USB Type-A 3.1 port. This is a nice balance of port options - all the ports are stacked on the side and the front looks pretty clean.
