MG Motor, a British car manufacturer, has started deliveries of its ZS EV model equipped with a 99 kW engine in Nepal. The standard ZS EV model comes with a 51 kWh battery and a 99 kW PMS motor, while its other specifications remain the same as its predecessors. The company is offering the new EV in two trims – Comfort and Deluxe – at a starting price of Rs 48.49 lakh.

Design

The new ZS EV standard models have the same dimensions as the outgoing models. The EV measures 4323 mm in overall length, 1809 mm in overall width, 1649 mm in overall height and has a wheelbase of 2581 mm. Likewise, design cues such as the body-colored front fascia, LED headlamps and tail lamps, sleek DRLs, roof rails and 17-inch alloy wheels, among others, remain the same. In addition, the car will be offered in five different colors: Como Blue, Cosmic Silver, Diamond Red, Pebble Black and Dover White.

Inside, the new ZS EV will come with leather-trimmed seats and between the seats, the driver's seat is electrically adjustable in 6 ways and the rear seats have a 40:60 split-folding function. The dashboard features a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. In addition, the electric car is equipped with a panoramic sunroof.

EV range is powered by a 51kWh battery – paired with a 99kW PMS motor – which generates a peak torque of 280Nm and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 8.5 seconds. For charging, the company also offers a 6.6kW on-board charger that fully charges the EV in around 8 hours, giving the EV a WLTP range of 320km on a single charge. The car is also offered with driving modes.

And for convenience, the new ZS EV has keyless access, remote locking, one-button engine start, air conditioning with PM2.5 pollen cleaning, speed limiter, trunk and lamp cover, air conditioning, 6 speakers, 2 microphones, wireless phone charging, rear air vents and Bluetooth connectivity, among others.

Paramount Motors Pvt.Ltd, the authorized importer and distributor of MG vehicles for Nepal, has started deliveries of the MG ZS EV standard range priced at Rs 1 lakh. The standard model ZS EV comes at a starting price of Rs 48.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 52.49 lakh. The EV serves as a rival to the BYD Atto 3,100 kW.
